Terms & Conditions for Weddings & Functions

  1. Event bookings
    • Bookings will be considered tentative for 7 days and the space may be allocated to another client unless the minimum deposit has been paid.
    • To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit/booking fee and a contract to be signed within those 7 days of holding a wedding date. After 7 days if no deposit and contract signed your date will be passed on.
  2. Payment terms
    • Confirmation must be given in writing three weeks prior to the function for:
      • Number of people attending
      • Final payment is due 21 days prior to event which an appointment will be set leading up to that date to go through all the final plans. Payment not paid after those 21 days your wedding will be cancelled.
      • Those that have paid their pacific deposit for their package will have their prices held for the package they have specified, whenever their wedding is held. Even if postponed due to covid restrictions.
    • Payments can be made by direct debit (EFT).
  3. Cancellations
    • Full payment for the event is required for any cancellation within 21 days or less of the event date. All cancellations made any time must be given in writing.
    • If the event is unable to go ahead due by Government announcements including but not limited to, a natural disaster or pandemic, Tiny House on the Prairie will allow the transfer of any monies paid to a new available date selected by the client or last option which will be fully refunded if and only that date is taken by another wedding of same deposit/booking fee paid.
  4. Special Terms
    • Cars and buses are to only use carparks provided.
    • Deliveries of marquees by trucks can turn around on gravel area near Tiny House to unload and set up.
    • Owners need to be notified before stakes are used for marquees or arbores for underground pipes are in the area.
    • Any damage to lawn areas by cars, trucks, vans etc will be charged to the booking clients.
    • It’s the client’s responsibility to arrange any additional decorative setup and lighting that is above what we have on the premises.
    • Clients have entry from two days prior to event to set up and leave before 3pm two days after event to take down.
    • Rose petals and organic confetti are permitted. Confetti, rice, or any other substance are not permitted to be used anywhere on the premises, due to wildlife that live in the area.
    • Any property left on the premises will be kept for a maximum of 1 month. Any unclaimed items will be discarded after this time.
  5. Security
    • Tiny House on the Prairie reserves the right to remove any person or possessions from the venue if the event is not conducted in an orderly or lawful manner, for the health and safety of all your guests and everyone else involved.
    • Any fines put on Tiny House on the Prairie will be charged to the clients. This will be discussed with the clients at the time of confirmation.
    • All paddocks’ gates must be left shut and the Prairies animals must not be harassed.
  6. Pricing
    • All pricing quoted are relevant to the date range indicated only. Prices are subject to change at the discretion of Tiny House on the Prairie P/L. If no deposits have been paid within a pacific price range and prices increases, people will have to pay what the new price which is indicated.
    • A surcharge of 15% on the final bill will occur for events booked on a public holiday. 25% on Easter long weekends and Christmas and New Year.
  7. Children and Minors
    • Due to the nature of the environment children must have responsible adults always supervising them.
    • All parents and carers are responsible for their children around the dam. It is not up to the owners to watch over other people’s children.
    • If children are invited it’s up to the clients to provide strict areas for the children to play and activities for them to keep them away from the dam.
    • For the safety of all involved we require no more than 10 children under the age of 10 years of age invited to the event, the owners urge the clients to consider the hire of child minders as an extra person watching over the children.
    • The clients must ensure that minors do not consume alcohol and they should point out to the staff which persons are minors.
    • We recommend using Calm Play for child minding as they have full insurances and police clearances in place also years of experiences with childcare.
  8. Entertainment
    • Management reserved the right to always control volume levels of entertainment.
    • music needs to be off by 12am and everyone that is not staying off the grounds by 1am.
  9. Accommodation
    • Tiny House on the Prairie accommodation is strictly booked for married couple to use, no extra guest permitted within the Tiny House during event.
    • Tiny House ensuite is only for the married couple to use. Entertainment Room toilet is strictly for staff, bridle party and elderly guests only. All other guests need to use the hired toilets. On confirming your booking date, owners need to be notified if they need to hire a wheelchair friendly toilet.
    • For security and safety, the owners need the number of guests that are on the grounds, for the fear of a fire out break and the need to evacuate.
    • Tiny House on the Prairie allow up to 10 extra people to camp on the grounds overnight, $80pp per night extra for any additional person that will be camping on the grounds during event. This will be added to the total cost. Owners need to be notified if tent pegs will be used. Additional people will need to supply their own tents or swags and there are no power sites available. Breakfast will be included in the price if having advanced notice to extra people staying. Those that chose to stay at the last minute will also need to pay the extra fee of $60 with no supplied breakfast.
    • Check in is anytime 2 days prior to event to set up and check out is at 3pm for married couple only. Other guests need to be out by 11am or unless stated to owners.
    • No parties or people hanging around the day after the event if not helping to clean premises or an extra cleaning fee will need to be charged. Unless talked over with owners.
  10. Damages
    • The client shall be liable for any damage caused howsoever by its invitees, caterers, or guests to any of the equipment or to any part of the premises whether caused accidentally or otherwise and shall pay to Tiny House on the Prairie the greater of the cost of repair or the replacement cost.
  11. Alcohol
    • No alcohol license is required unless, clients are charging their guest an alcohol package, or raffling alcohol. Alcohol can be brought in elsewhere and guest can help themselves at the event or a person with an RSA certificate needs to be serving the alcohol.
